Ford Explorer Performance
The new Explorer comes with a variety of engine options to help you conquer the highways and byways of Spring Creek, NV. There are four engine choices, including:

Ford Super Duty Powertrains and Performance
Three potent powertrain options are available to provide prodigious power:
6.2-Liter V-8
The standard Super Duty engine is a 6.2-liter Flex Fuel V-8 that produces 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The base engine pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard rear-wheel drive or available four-wheel-drive.
- F-250: When properly configured, a 6.2-liter-equipped F-250 can conventionally tow up to 15,000 pounds, and up to 15,800 pounds with a fifth-wheel/gooseneck preparation.
- F-350: When properly equipped, an F-350 with the 6.2-liter engine can conventionally tow up to 16,000 pounds, and up to 16,700 pounds with a fifth-wheel/gooseneck preparation.
7.3-Liter V-8
New for the 2020 model year, Winnemucca drivers have an even more powerful gasoline option. The available 7.3-liter V-8 pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and generates class-leading ratings for gasoline horsepower (430) and torque (475 pound-feet). Furthermore, the engine's increased torque is available in the low rpm range, for more significant towing and hauling capability.
- F-250: With the 7.3-liter engine, a properly equipped F-250 can tow up to 15,000 pounds conventionally and up to 19,600 pounds with a fifth-wheel/gooseneck.
- F-350: The F-350 can conventionally tow up to 21,200 pounds with a fifth-wheel/gooseneck package.
6.7-Liter Turbo Diesel
Finally, when only ludicrous levels of torque will suffice, Carlin NV drivers can equip the available 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V-8 Turbo Diesel. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, it generates 475 horsepower and pushes torque into the quadruple digits: up to 1,050 pound-feet!
- F-250: With the Turbo Diesel engine, F-250 models can conventionally tow a maximum of 20,000 pounds and up to 22,800 pounds with the fifth-wheel/gooseneck package.
- F-350: When properly equipped, max conventional towing reaches 24,200 pounds. With the fifth-wheel/gooseneck package, max towing soars to 37,000 pounds.

Ford Super Duty Trim Levels
- XL: If you're looking for a no-nonsense work truck with minimal distractions, XL delivers. Standard features include telescoping tow mirrors, vinyl upholstery, a removable locking tailgate, and a rearview camera.
- XLT: The second tier adds a few comfort and convenience amenities, including power mirrors and windows, cloth upholstery, and the SYNC 3 infotainment system.
- Lariat: Providing a good mix of features and overall value, the Lariat trim includes dual-zone automatic climate control, leather, power front seats, Wi-Fi, a 110-volt power outlet, and a premium sound system
- King Ranch: The fourth trim level includes a western-themed aesthetic, automatic high beams, keyless entry and ignition, remote start, heated and ventilated seats, upgraded leather, navigation, and more.
- Platinum: The penultimate trim adds 20-inch wheels, adaptive steering, LED headlights, a remote tailgate release, power running boards, and blind-spot monitoring.
- Limited: The top tier adds adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, two-tone leather, a panoramic sunroof, and lane-keeping assist.
