The base engine of the Mustang is a turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that is peppy and quick. Optional engine choices include a V8 that offers up to 450 horsepower and a second V8 that offers 470 horsepower. Electrically assisted steering is also a part of the standard powertrain.
If you'd like to explore engine options further, you will need to consider add-on packages. The High Performance package adds a different EcoBoost engine. Drivers may also opt for an EcoBoost Handling package that fine-tunes the EcoBoost for supreme performance and responsiveness. Those who opt for the GT trims may choose from either a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The Mach 1 Mustang offers the enhanced V8 engine with the most horsepower of the engine options. Drivers can appreciate that Ford has worked to enhance the chassis of the Mustang so that driving feels refined when the car hugs curves. The Mustang comes standard as a rear-wheel drive vehicle.
Design
